Texas Ballet Theater Presents FOUR LAST SONGS Together With TWILIGHT & ESMERALDA AND L
![]()
Texas Ballet Theater (TBT) will present a mixed repertoire performance March 29-31 at Bass Performance Hall. This performance includes Four Last Songs, Twilight & Esmeralda, and L, all choreographed by Ben Stevenson.
Four Last Songs is set to composer Richard Strauss's masterpiece of the same title. It is about life's changing seasons, especially dealing with love and loss. Many consider this work to be choreographer Stevenson's masterwork.
Twilight & Esmeralda combines two complementing romantic pieces. Twilight is a dream-like and classically romantic pas de deux. On the other hand, Esmeralda shows a fiery side of romance following a gypsy as she is pursued by a host of suitors.
L is a tribute to Liza Minnelli from choreographer Ben Stevenson. It is a jazz piece designed for an all-male cast and is upbeat and energetic.
The ballet has three acts and lasts approximately 2 hours, including two 20-minute intermissions. Tickets range from $20-$125 and are available at www.texasballettheater.org or 877.828.9200. Performances are at Bass Performance Hall in Fort Worth.
