Neil Tucker's OIL Premieres at Theatre Three Tonight
Theatre Three presents the World Premiere of OIL, a new play by Neil Tucker, running tonight, January 21, through February 14, 2016.
OIL is the story of a family, and a country, so desperate to hold on to what they have, that they are willing to sacrifice what matters most: each other. It's 1986. Magritte Holes, the ailing and notoriously outrageous matriarch of one of Houston's most prominent oil families, has been hiding out in her bedroom for months. Guzzling whiskey, she spends her time planning the annual Holes Barbecue and developing an outlandish strategy to save Texas (and her family's fortune) from imminent collapse. Unfortunately, neither her high-profile guest list, nor her colorful, dysfunctional family, has any idea what she has in store for them.
OIL is directed by Marty Van Kleeck, featuring a cast of Jenna Anderson (Pettite), John S. Davies (Sycamore), Patricia E. Hill (Maudie), Gregory Hullett ( Leroy), and Gene Raye Price (Magritte).
Performances: Thursdays at 7:30 p.m.; Fridays - Saturdays at 8:00 p.m.; Sundays at 2:30 p.m.; Sunday Evening Performances: January 24 & February 7 at 7:30 p.m.; Hooky Matinee: Wednesday, February 3 at 2:30 p.m.; Saturday Matinee: February 13 at 2:30 *only one Saturday matinee per show.
