Pacific Symphony, under the direction of Music Director Carl St.Clair, presents Respighi's celebrated "Pines of Rome" from February 6 to 8. The concert features world premieres of two commissioned pieces: a new piano concerto by Adolphus Hailstork, performed by pianist Jeffrey Biegel, and Viet Cuong's orchestral work "Marine Layer." St.Clair's final season culminates in this event, showcasing the rich musical tapestry of Rome alongside modern compositions, highlighting Pacific Symphony's ongoing commitment to expanding its repertoire. The evening opens with Leonard Bernstein's spirited "Slava!" setting the stage for a memorable performance.
