The Theatre @ Boston Court and Circle X Theatre Co. announce the extension of Stupid f-ing Bird by Aaron Posner, directed by Michael Michetti, through August 10, 2014.??

About Stupid f-ing Bird: In this irreverent remix of Chekhov's The Seagull, an aspiring young director rails against art created by his mother's generation, a nubile young actress wrestles with an aging Hollywood star for the affections of a renowned novelist, and everyone discovers just how disappointing life, art, and growing up can be. Chekhov's characters still ruminate on love, revolution, and the pursuit of happiness, but this time with a lot more snark as the subtext bubbles to the surface. With music, meta-theatricality, and mad humor, playwright Aaron Posner beats The Seagull to a bloody f-ing pulp.

Stupid f-ing Bird is presented on the Main Stage at Boston Court Performing Arts Center, 70 N. Mentor Ave, Pasadena, CA. Performances Thursday through Saturday at 8pm and Sunday at 2pm. General admission tickets are $34 with student and senior tickets available at $29. Tickets can be purchased online at bostoncourt.org or by calling (626) 683-6883.

Circle X Theatre Co. is a not-for-profit ensemble of artists dedicated to highly provocative, boldly theatrical productions of new and rarely-seen plays and the development of new works for the stage. Circle X believes in imagination over budget, adrenaline over inertia, irreverence over convention and excellence over all. The company was founded in 1996 by seven theatre artists drawn together by a common desire to create an artistic home in Los Angeles with a focus on the development of new work for the stage. Innovation and the idea of "imagination over budget" are their guiding principles, and they strive to make them the core of every element of production, beyond selection of thought-provoking, highly theatrical plays. This extends to everything from production, design, performance and direction to administration and marketing, creating the unique aesthetic for which Circle X is known. Through their Writers Group and new play development programs they support theatre artists interested in taking new plays from inception to production, and launching them onto a life beyond their stages.
