Single Tickets & Subscriptions For South Coast Rep's 50th Season Now On Sale
Join South Coast Repertory during its monumental 50th season. Five world premieres, a musical and a classic American drama are all featured during the season, running from August through June. Tickets for SCR's 2013-14 season are now on sale, starting at $22.
The stage offerings include the classic Death of a Salesman by Arthur Miller; the musical The Light in the Piazza by Craig Lucas, with music by Adam Guettel; 4000 Miles by Amy Herzog; the world premiere of Rest by Samuel D. Hunter; and Molière's farce Tartuffe.
Single ticket prices during SCR's 50th season start at $22. SCR offers a variety of ticket options, including the flexible Create Your Own program: pick any four plays, on any four dates, for as little as $136.
The 2013-14 SCR season features:
Segerstrom Stage:
- Death of a Salesman by Arthur Miller, directed by Marc Masterson (Aug. 30-Sept. 29);
- 4,000 Miles by Amy Herzog, directed by David Emmes (Oct. 18-Nov. 17);
- The Light in the Piazza, book by Craig Lucas, music and lyrics by Adam Guettel (Jan. 24-Feb. 23, 2014);
- Rest by Samuel D. Hunter (world premiere), directed by Martin Benson (March 28-April 27, 2014); and
- Tartuffe by Molière, directed by Dominique Serrand (May 9-June 8, 2014).
Julianne Argyros Stage: all world premieres
- Fast Company by Carla Ching, directed by Bart DeLorenzo (Oct. 6-27);
- Trudy and Max in Love Or That Forever Feeling (an affair in twenty four scenes) by Zoe Kazan, an SCR commission directed by Lila Neugebauer (Jan. 5-26, 2014);
- Reunion by Gregory S Moss, directed by Adrienne Campbell-Holt (March 9-30, 2014); and
- A World Premiere, part of the Pacific Playwrights Festival (April 13-May 4, 2014).
Theatre for Young Audiences:
- Ivy + Bean, based on the "Ivy and Bean" series of books by Annie Barrows book, music and lyrics by Scott Elmegreen (Nov. 8-24);
- James and the Giant Peach, adapted for the stage by David Wood based on the book by Roald Dahl (Feb. 7-23); and
- The Stinky Cheese Man and Other Fairly Stupid Tales, adapted by John Glore from the book by Jon Scieszka and Lane Smith (May 23-June 8).
Mark the holidays with the 34th annual production of the holiday favorite A Christmas Carol, starring Hal Landon Jr. This huge audience favorite runs Nov. 29 through Dec. 26. Single tickets will go on sale for A Christmas Carol at a later date.
Season ticket packages for the full regular season also are available, starting at $136, with additional discounts for students, educators and seniors. Season tickets for Theatre for Young Audiences season tickets start at $48.
Discounts are available for students, seniors, those under 35, and for groups.
SCR's Folino Theatre Complex offers productions in intimate spaces, including the 507-seat Segerstrom Stage and the 336-seat Julianne Argyros Stage.
