The supernatural power of love is taking Orange County by storm as the new Broadway and West End show GHOST - THE MUSICAL, adapted from the Academy Award®-winning film, opens at Segerstrom Center for the Arts on July 29. Employing special effects never before seen in an on-stage musical, GHOST - THE MUSICAL features illusions that continually leave audiences astonished and questioning if what they just saw was real.

Audiences attending GHOST - THE MUSICAL at Segerstrom Center for the Arts are in for a special treat when they participate in lobby activities one hour prior to curtain and during intermissions for all performances.

The popular photo opportunity returns with the iconic pottery wheel that is a significant moment in both the musical and the 1990 film. For those wanting to add a special touch to their photos, a section will be lit in blue so they can pose as ghosts. Patrons are encouraged to post their photos on social media sites and use hashtag #GhostMusicalOC.

Ticket holders will enjoy the lighting and special effects display where they will learn how gobos, color gels and more create the supernatural wonders seen on stage. The display also features examples of lighting fixtures and fun theater terminology. Behind-the-scenes video interviews of the show's creative minds will be playing nearby.

The show has been enjoyed by more than one million people worldwide and has been nominated for numerous awards including five Olivier Awards and three Tony Awards. The Associated Press calls GHOST - THE MUSICAL "eye-poppingly brilliant" while Variety assures the audience will experience "a limitless array of dazzling effects."
