One More Productions Extends ALWAYS…PATSY CLINE

By:

Ever since this musical opened on April 7, the show has received rave reviews, the phones have been ringing off the hook, and they have been playing to packed houses. And for the first time in the history of One More Productions, they have extended the run of the show due to SOLD OUT performances.

The show has also added a Talk Back (Question and Answer Session) after a performance with cast and extended cast members including Nicole Cassesso, Dee Shandera, Director Damien Lorton, and some of the band members.

ALWAYS...PATSY CLINE, opened on Apr. 7 at Garden Grove's historic GEM THEATRE presented by the award-winning One More Productions - one of Southern California's leading musical theater companies.

ALWAYS...PATSY CLINE is based on the true story of Patsy Cline's friendship with a wisecracking Houston housewife, Louise Seger. Seger becomes an immediate and avid fan of Patsy Cline after hearing Cline on the "Arthur Godfrey Show" in 1957. By chance, they meet at Patsy's concert which starts a friendship that lasts until Cline's untimely death in a plane crash in 1963.

Over a pot of strong coffee, the two women spend the night chatting about their common concerns about life and family. Their relationship continues through letters and phone calls from Cline.

The music of Patsy Cline weaves through a narration of her life and the entire performance is backed by a 6-piece live country band.

The show combines humor, sadness and reality. It offers fans who remember Cline a chance to look back, while giving new fans an idea of what seeing her was like and what she meant to her original fans.

ALWAYS...PATSY CLINE is directed by Damien Lorton and written by Ted Swindley. The cast includes Nicole Cassesso as the incomparable Patsy Cline and Dee Shandera as Louise Seger.

The performance run has been extended through Sunday, May 8 (Mother's Day) at the GEM THEATRE. Thursdays - Saturdays, show starts at 8 pm and Sundays, show starts at 2 pm.

General admission tickets are $26 each, $23 for seniors (60 and over), and $18 for Children (12 years old and under). In addition, $15 Student Rush Tickets are available for Thursday and Friday performances only.
