La Mirada Theatre to Host 'Sense-ations 2016'

LA MIRADA THEATRE FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS is thrilled to present a stunning new array of SENSE-ATIONAL events, everything from the legendary musical song-stylings of Don McLean to the music of Jimi Hendrix or Abba, La Mirada Theatre brings you the events that will have you rocking your way into 2016!

ARRIVAL FROM SWEDEN

The Music of ABBA
Friday, February 19 - 8pm
$25 - $70

ARRIVAL From Sweden has sold out arenas and venues all over the world since 1995 and has become known as the best, most authentic ABBA show there is. Hits like "Dancing Queen," "Mamma Mia," "Fernando," and many more are delivered with such accuracy that it's hard to believe that it's not the real ABBA on stage. ARRIVAL From Sweden features an all-Swedish quartet along with original ABBA musicians and exclusive ABBA costumes. According to Euro Pride Festival Stockholm, "No one does ABBA better than ARRIVAL From Sweden."

The Jimi Hendrix Experience

Since 2003, Classic Albums Live has earned their reputation of painstakingly recreating, note for note, cut for cut some of rock's most legendary albums. Now, their group of astoundingly talented, handpicked musicians take the stage to perform in its entirety, The Jimi Hendrix Experience's Are You Experienced? Released in 1967, the album was an immediate critical and commercial success and has continued to be widely regarded by rock critics as one of the greatest, most influential debut albums ever released. With songs such as "Purple Haze," "Foxy Lady," "Fire," "Hey Joe," and "The Wind Cries Mary," the album features Jimi Hendrix's innovative approach to songwriting and electric guitar playing which soon established a new direction in psychedelic and hard rock music.

American Troubadour Tour

Don McLean is one of America's most enduring singer-songwriters, known for his impeccable live performances and his iconic hit song "American Pie" along with other beloved classics including "Vincent (Starry, Starry Night)," "Castles in the Air," "And I Love You So," and "Crying." Since first hitting the charts in 1971, Don has amassed over 40 gold and platinum records worldwide and, in 2004, was inducted into the Songwriters' Hall of Fame.

AMERICA - Live In Concert
Saturday, March 12 - 8pm

$25 - $85

Nearly five decades after they harmonized their way to the top of the charts with their signature song "A Horse With No Name," the Grammy Award-winning classic rock band America continues touring the world and thrilling audiences with their timeless sound. Their best-known tunes, which also include "I Need You," "Ventura Highway," "Don't Cross the River," "Tin Man," "Lonely People," and "Sister Golden Hair," were cornerstones of 1970's Top 40 rock radio and made them a global household name. Founding members Gerry Beckley and Dewey Bunnell will hit the La Mirada stage to perform songs from their impressive catalog of hits in this special concert event.
