In 1863, when handwritten letters carried news of hope or despair, a correspondence began between two young Goshen residents whose relationship blossomed in the shadow of the Civil War. Missed opportunities, unreliable mail, and the ever-present threat of tragedy shape the deeply moving true story revealed in their letters, proving human connection transcends all adversity.

Joel's past performances include Tony/Big Deal in Landmark Community Theatre’s West Side Story, Scott in Goshen Players’ Disaster! and Tiny Tom in Goshen Players' recent production of Urinetown. He would like to thank Robert Kwalick for putting in a good word for him so he could be a part of this production.
