The Windham Theatre Guild will present live on stage the Broadway hit musical The Secret Garden, opening Friday, July 19th at the Burton Leavitt Theatre, 779 Main Street, Willimantic.

Based on the well known and loved children's book by Frances Hodgson, The Secret Garden tells the story of Mary Lennox, a spoiled orphan girl who is sent to live with her uncle on the Yorkshire moors and discovers locked away secrets of a family in mourning. Her own personality blossoms as she and a young gardener bring new life to a neglected secret garden, as well as to her sickly cousin Colin and uncle. It's a miraculous and magical masterpiece!

Directing The Secret Garden is WTG president Victor Funderburk. Musical Director is Ken Clark and the costumes are by Debbie Warren and her Assistant Suzette Butler. Lighting is created by Matt Butler.

The music is truly breathtaking and the cast of talented singers bring the fantastic score to life. This show features some amazing singers that are new to the WTG stage, along with the beautiful voices of some WTG regulars. If you have never seen this show, take advantage of this rare opportunity to experience it live. If you are already a fan of the show, don't miss an opportunity to see the show you know and love.

Bring your family and friends to the musical event of the summer. Tickets are $21 for Adults, $18 for Students/Seniors (60+) $13 for Children under 12 and $12 for UCONN/ECSU/QVCC Students (with ID). Call 423-2245 to make your reservations today or go online at windhamtheatreguild.org.
