The Wilton Playshop will open Enchanted April by Matthew Barber, adapted from the novel by Elizabeth von Arnim, on April 26. Directed by Carin Zakes, the show will continue April 27, 28 and May 2*, 3, 4, evenings at 8 p.m., Sunday at 2 p.m.

Feeling lost in their marriages and within the rapidly shifting social currents of post-WWI London, two unhappy middle-class housewives rent a villa in Italy for an impulsive holiday away from their everyday lives, reluctantly recruiting a pair of independent upper-class women to share the cost and experience. There, among the wisteria blossoms and Mediterranean sunshine, all four clash - and then begin to bloom - rediscovering themselves in ways that they never could have imagined.
