Sweat It Out at Playhouse on Park
Whether you've just graduated from high school, or are currently in the middle of your undergraduate career, Playhouse on Park has created a program to whip you into shape and feeling great for whatever the fall semester holds. Registration for Summer Jazz Dance Boot Camp: College Prep is now open! The program runs August 7-11, 1-4pm.
Come stretch, sweat and tone with us as summer winds down and as you prepare to return to school! Each class will follow a daily warm up, stretching, conditioning, strengthening, and choreography. This class is open to ages 16 and up. The cost is $200.
Returning to The Playhouse to instruct is Mallory Cunningham! Mallory has performed on The Playhouse on Park in both HAIR and A CHORUS LINE. She studied and taught for several years at the Glastonbury Dance Center and earned a BFA in Acting from the University of Connecticut. In addition to teaching and performing, Mallory has choreographed numerous productions for regional theaters around the country. Some favorite roles include Eldorado Casino: FOOTLOOSE (Urleen); Cape Fear Regional Theatre: FIDDLER ON THE ROOF (Tzeitel) and SPAMALOT (Ensemble / Choreographer); Connecticut Rep: CABARET (Kit Kat Girl), INTO THE WOODS (Rapunzel); Woodstock Playhouse: LES MISERABLES (Fantine), WEST SIDE STORY (Consuela), CHICAGO (Annie), and LEGALLY BLONDE (Vivienne); Temple Theatre: CATS (Rumpleteaser / Assistant Choreographer), and THE MUSIC MAN (Zaneeta); and Granbury Opera House: SOUTH PACIFIC (Dinah).
