STAGE TUBE: First Look at WCP's SUDDENLY LAST SUMMER

Westport Country Playhouse has released a video, taped in rehearsal, offering a look at the upcoming Tennessee Williams' play, "Suddenly Last Summer," on stage August 23 - September 10. The video provides insight on the play from Mark Lamos, Westport Country Playhouse artistic director; David Kennedy, director of the production and Playhouse associate artistic director; and cast members Annalee Jefferies and Liv Rooth.

Staged in celebration of the Tennessee Williams centennial year, "Suddenly Last Summer" tells of a handsome poet who has died under mysterious circumstances. Only the beautiful young woman who was there knows the shocking truth of what happened. Will she tell her story no matter the consequences, or succumb to the pressure to protect the legacy of an influential and powerful family?
