Playhouse on Park Announces Summer 6-8 Programs
Summer is just around the corner, and Playhouse on Park is offering a summer acting program for Grades 6-8. This program will be held in two-week sessions. The first session meets for two hours in the afternoon, and the second session meets for three hours in the morning to allow for more in-depth training. Students will learn age appropriate acting techniques, and each session ends with a final student showcase.
This program, titled Actors Onstage, will focus on developing a student's acting technique in a comfortable and professional setting. This class will include acting and storytelling activities, improvisation exercises, monologue and scene work, movement for actors, and voice for actors. The instructor for this program is Dawn Loveland, the Director of Education at Playhouse on Park.
Registration is required; class size is limited, and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. For more information on this program, or to learn about additional programs that the Playhouse is offering this summer, including the Young Actor Musical Theatre Preparatory Program, visit www.playhouseonpark.org, call 860-523-5900 x10 or email info@playhouseonpark.org.
