Piedmont Players Theatre Offers Free Tickets to the Meroney Theater

By:

Do you know someone who has never been to a live performance at the Meroney Theater? Does your spouse or friends always have an excuse as to why they won't go with you to the newest Piedmont Players show? Well thanks to a promotion PPT will be offering throughout the run of their first production of the new season, there are no more excuses. Anyone who has never attended a PPT show at the Meroney Theater is invited to see Peter and the Starcatcher- the Tony Winning prequel to Peter Pan- for free!

"We are always shocked to hear how many people in our community have never even been inside the Meroney Theater," says PPT Marketing Director- Josh Wainright. "We decided this is the perfect show to run this promotion. It's funny...it's family friendly...it's a Tony Winner...and it's a story everyone knows." Well, it's about a story everyone knows...Peter Pan...but it's told in a way most have never seen before. Peter and the Starcatcher is all about how an orphan boy became the boy who never grew up, how a villainous pirate became Captain Hook, and how one of the most popular stories in history came to be.

If you have never attended a show at the Meroney or know someone who hasn't, just stop by the Meroney Theater Box Office at 213 S. Main St., between 9am-1pm Monday thru Friday or call 704-633-5471. You will be asked to give your name, address and phone number, and as long as you are not in the PPT Box Office system, the ticket is free. PPT will reserve 25 seats to each performance specifically for the promotion and all seats will be given on a first come first serve basis. Patrons who take advantage of the promotion will be asked to present identification when they pick up their tickets.

"The beauty of this show is that you don't have to be a 'theatre person' to enjoy it. It's one of the funniest and most creative shows we have ever done and we feel confident that if this is anyone's first experience at the Meroney Theater, they will be back...and we're willing to put our money where our mouth is," says Wainright. "Whether you're looking for a unique date night or just want to see what this whole 'Live Theatre thing' is about, we hope this promotion introduces a whole new audience to the Salisbury theatre experience."

Peter and the Starcatcher show dates: October 6-8 and 12-15 at 7:30pm with a matinee on Sunday, October 9 at 2:30pm. Tickets are available at the Meroney Box Office by calling 704-633-5471 or online at piedmontplayers.com. Ticket prices: Adults $20, Students/Seniors $17. Producing Partners: Crescent Construction Services and Carrol Fisher Construction Company.
