PUT IT INTO WORDS Reading Set for Ridgefield Playhouse, 10/3

For a chance to see first-hand the process a film goes through before it gets made, there will be a staged reading of the film Put It Into Words at The Ridgefield Playhouse on Thursday, October 3, at 7 p.m. A pre-film cocktail reception will take place in the lobby providing even greater opportunity to learn how a movie becomes a reality.

This new film was written by Ridgefield's Scotts Ridge Middle School Principal Tim Salem and produced and directed by John Balis (who produced The Entrepreneurs and was Executive Director for Casting By).

Put It Into Words is a coming-of-age journey for a teenager struggling to find his identity. This inner turmoil puts him into direct conflict both at home and in school as his passage intersects with five other lives that are dramatically altered as a result of their relationship with him. The character of the teacher in the film is the inspiration for the main tormented teen to truly follow his heart and make decisions that are right for him, despite being pulled in different directions by loved ones and friends. ?This event is part of the Moffly Media Entertaining Conversations Series and is underwritten by Moffly Media.

What is truly unique about the story of Put It Into Words is the opportunity to witness the power that an educational program and a dynamic teacher have on shaping if not ultimately changing lives aka "life's lessons". These lessons influence not only the main character's decisions and trajectory of his life but that of the other characters as well. The distinctive qualities and behavior traits learned by the cast in this film were developed by Tim Salem and subsequently shared with colleagues in the Greater Danbury area.
