Opera House Players, Inc. Hosts Auditions For RAGTIME 12/13 & 12/14

Opera House Players, Inc., located in the Broad Brook section of East Windsor, CT, announces auditions for the musical RAGTIME. Auditions will be held at the Broad Brook Opera House, 107 Main Street, Broad Brook, CT on Monday, December 13 from 7-9p; with Callbacks on Tuesday, December 14 at 7pm. Auditioners should bring sheet music and be prepared to sing 32 bars of music that show their vocal range. An accompanist will be provided. Audition may also include cold readings.

The show will be directed by area performer and director Sharon FitzHenry, with musical direction by Bill Martin. Performances are Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays from May 6 to 22, 2011.

In the exciting era of Ragtime, the lives of a wealthy family, a poor immigrant and his motherless daughter, and a black man named Coalhouse Walker intertwine in this huge musical. RAGTIME is based on the 1975 novel by E.L. Docktorow.
