Linda Eder to Host Master Class at Warner Theatre, 4/20

By:

On Saturday, April 20 from 11:30 am-1pm, the Warner Theatre Center for Arts Education will present a Master Class with one of America's most beloved singers and award-winning Broadway star, Linda Eder.

One of the greatest contemporary voices of our time, Linda Eder's diverse repertoire spans Broadway, standards, pop, country and jazz. As the tragic character "Lucy" in the Broadway musical Jekyll & Hyde from composer Frank Wildhorn, Ms. Eder secured her place as a Broadway favorite. Heralded as America's acclaimed new interpreter of pop standards and theatrical songs with 14 solo albums and 12 musical recordings, Ms. Eder's voice remains the gold standard of multiple musical genres. As Stephen Holden of The New York Times once wrote, "What do we mean when we use the word perfection? The question arises every time I watch the pop singer Linda Eder..." Most recently, Ms. Eder crowned her two-decade recording career with a new album,Now, which reunited Eder with Broadway and pop composer Frank Wildhorn. This new release marks the musical return of this legendary team after six years.

With over 30 years' experience on the concert stage and in the recording studio, Linda Eder has met thousands of aspiring singers as well as professional performers and been asked countless times for her help in improving their vocal talents. Now, Ms. Eder comes to the Warner Theatre Center for Arts Education to lead students through an intensive Master Class on vocal technique and discovering the natural voice.

"We are delighted to host Ms. Eder in this very special, exclusive Master Class on Vocal Performance at the Warner Theatre Center for Arts Education. We've had the privilege of seeing Ms. Eder perform on the Warner's Main Stage on numerous occasions in a concert setting, so to have her share her incredible talents and extensive knowledge base with our students in an intensive Master Class of this caliber is an amazing opportunity," says Isabel Carrington, Director of Education for the Warner Theatre.

To register for this exclusive Master Class, participants must be ages 15-adult. Call the Warner Theatre Box Office at 860-489-7180 or the WTCAE School Reception Office at 860-489-7180 x148.Please note: Class space is limited. Class fee $45.
