The Brookfield Theatre for the Arts is proud to welcome rabble-rousing writer Joe Iconis in The Not Suitable for Children Concert, his first concert outside of New York. Winner of the Ed Kleban and Jonathan Larson Awards, Iconis will perform a selection of his songs on August 22nd at 8:00pm. This intimate evening will feature Iconis on the piano and Jason "SweetTooth" Williams and Katrina Rose Dideriksen, two groundbreaking actors that frequently appear in Joe's work.

Joe is the author of The Black Suits (SPF at The Public), ReWrite (Urban Stages), The Plant That Ate Dirty Socks (Theaterworks USA) and Things To Ruin (The Zipper Factory and Second Stage). His work has been called "vital" by The New York Times, "transporting" by Variety and "not just hot - they're boiling" by Theatermania.

This once in a lifetime event is a celebration of new musical theatre that is exciting, profane, scary, comforting and fiercely original. Tickets are $20 general admission (fundraiser-no discounts). All proceeds to benefit the next phase of TBTA's lighting upgrade project.

TBTA is located at 182 Whisconier Road (Route 25 behind the Library), Brookfield, CT.
