Crystal Theatre Announces the 2012 Matt Chiappetta Scholarship

The scholarship was established in memory of Crystal Theatre student Matthew Chiappetta who passed away on March 6th, 2004.  This scholarship celebrates the memory and spirit of Matt and his love for Crystal Theatre.

Open to current 5th - 7th grade students.

Applying for the scholarship requires the following:
  • A completed Application
  • An Essay 
  • An Audition
  • An Interview

Applicant may bring an OPTIONAL song to sing at the audition. 

Prepare a scene from one of the following shows:
(scenes are available for download when you apply)
  • Perseus: Perseus/Andromeda
  • The Snow Queen: Kai/Gerda
  • Whistleville: George Hirst/Robin Brennan

The winner receives a full years tuition to any age appropriate classes or camps.  If there are any runners up, they will receive tuition to one class or camp.  

Essays and form submissions are due by Friday, March 2nd, 2012.

Interview/Auditions will be held at Ben Franklin on Saturday, March 3rd at 4:00pm.

The winner of the scholarship will be announced at the Matthew Chiappetta Memorial Concert on Monday, March 5th, 2012 at 7:00pm.  The scholarship winner MUST be available to attend the concert. 

The money raised from this concert will fund the Matthew Chiappetta Scholarships.
