Review: JERSEY BOYS Sing Their Way Onto The Bushnell's Stage
There's a reason why the musical, Jersey Boys is such a hit, and last night the audience at The Bushnell got to experience all the hype.
The Tony Award-winning musical opened in Hartford, Connecticut, retelling the legendary story of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, the rock and roll hall of famers who went from four Jersey boys with a dream to becoming one of the best musical groups in history.
The guys: Tommy DeVito (Matthew Dailey), Frankie Valli (AaRon De Jesus), Nick Massi (Keith Hines), and Bob Gaudio (Cory Jeacoma) take the audience on a wild ride of many ups and downs faced while on their way to stardom. Everything from playing in gritty, dim-lit bars, to heading in and out of prison, to dealing with a family at home and one on the road, all makes for a bumpy but impressive tale.
And throughout the story, we're memorized with the talented foursome - especially Frankie's iconic high voice - with classic songs like "Sherry," "Can't Take My Eyes Off You," and "Rag Doll," making for a fun time that's worth dancing in your seat.
Jersey Boys is currently playing at The Bushnell from now until March 26th.
