On Saturday, March 17, The Warner Stage Company's production of Witness for the Prosecution, Agatha Christie's chilling whodunit, will open at the Warner's Nancy Marine Studio Theatre.

Witness for the Prosecution tells the story of Leonard Vole (played by Bif Carrington), who is arrested for the murder of a rich, middle-aged widow. The famous lawyer, Sir Wilfrid Robarts (Joe Harding) agrees to appear on his behalf. Vole's only alibi witness is his wife, the calm and coldly calculating Christine Vole (Isabel Carrington). Sir Wilfrid's task becomes even more impossible when Christine agrees to be a witness not for the defense but for the prosecution.

This is only the first in a series of unexpected twists leading to one last-minute event that is particularly shocking. The Warner Stage Company production is directed by Katherine Ray and features: John Fabbri as Mr. Mayhew, John Lino Ponzini as Mr. Meyers, Q.C., Janice Connor as Greta and Barbara Salant as Janet MacKenzie.

Performances of Witness for the Prosecution are Sat., March 17 at 8pm, Sunday, March 19 at 2pm, Friday, March 23 at 8pm and Saturday, March 24 at 2 & 8pm. Tickets are $19, $22, $25 and can be purchased by calling the Warner box office at860-489-7180 or online at www.warnertheatre.org.
