Experience the world premiere of the new folk-classical symphony "Songs of Rural America" by folksinger and composer Michael Johnathon. This performance by Johnathon and the 45-piece Ohio Valley Symphony, under the direction of Tim Berens, will be taped for national television and international radio broadcast. Johnathon is best known as the creator and host of TV's "WoodSongs Old-Time Radio Hour," but has composed previous symphonies and operas, but this new one has special meaning to him. “In the current political climate, people are hungry for neighbors, family and the front porch spirit that built this country,” he said. “This symphony is a musical overview of what shaped rural America.
