Short North Stage is pleased to present the regional premiere of this provocative and groundbreaking Broadway play.
**Join us in lively talkback following each Sunday matinee performance! Talkbacks are facilitated live on stage by Erin Upchurch of Ohio REST Collective and the cast of Slave Play.
Each show will be supported by a member of The Ohio REST Collective. These trained professionals will hold space for audience members when needed.
Talkbacks will be facilitated by co-founders of The Ohio REST Collective, Karen Hewitt (ze/hir/she/her) and Erin upchurch (she/her). Talkbacks will occur Sundays after the show. Audience members have already seen the show on a non-talk back day are welcome to join these talk backs.

Review: SLAVE PLAY at Short North Stage
February 05, 2023 What did our critic think of SLAVE PLAY at Short North Stage? People always ask critics two questions: “did you like it?” and “is it worth seeing?” When it comes time to discuss SLAVE PLAY, these two questions are going to be tough to answer. Did I like it? From a theatrical rubric, it checks off the boxes of fantastic acting and wonderful direction, and powerful message. However, is it enjoyable? At times yes … and sometimes it felt like a punch to the stomach.About the Theatre
