Inspired by a true story and set in turn-of-the-century New York City, Disney’s Newsies tells the tale of Jack Kelly, a charismatic newsboy, and his band of teenaged pals. When titans of publishing raise distribution prices at the newsboys’ expense, Jack rallies newsies from across the city to strike against the unfair conditions and fight for what’s right! Though typically an almost all male-presenting cast, CCT is thrilled to invite performers of all gender identities to join us in “carrying the banner” as we mount our production of this Tony Award-winning Broadway hit.
