A few months ago, Shadowbox Live premiered the second installment of their multi-media, multi-discipline performance genre, Gallery of Echoes. The production debuted at this year's Columbus Arts Festival followed by a limited run a the Shadowbox Live Front Street theater, and featured twenty local artists.

The Columbus Association for the Performing Arts (CAPA) today announced the passing of its president and CEO, William B. Conner Jr. After a two-year battle with cancer, Conner died this morning at the age of 64 surrounded by loved ones.

Conducted by CSO Music Director Rossen Milanov, this passionate and spectacular piece touches every emotion from stark terror to soothing beauty to an uplifting sense of spirituality. Although composed as a sacred work, its deep theatricality has led to it being frequently described as "Verdi's greatest opera." To adequately convey the breadth of his vision, Verdi called for the combined forces of a full orchestra, chorus, and four solo vocalists. As such, the Columbus Symphony will be joined by the Columbus Symphony Chorus, soprano Michelle Johnson, mezzo-soprano Margaret Mezzacappa, tenor Evan Johnson, and bass Burak Bilgili.

This is a production where everything goes wrong (Think Noises Off meets Waiting for Guffman!) Welcome to the Dunbar Drama Society. This company is in desperate need of a fund-raiser, so they decide to partner with a new local playwright to present a production that will save their community theatre. Unfortunately, the playwright's constant interference in rehearsals, a cast of "strong personalities", and the over-worked crew, cause the director to have a difficult time keeping the production moving forward. Join us for this hilarious, mad-cap adventure that will keep you laughing from the opening curtain until someone brings down the house! This production is rated PG, and some material may not be suitable for young children.
