HYPROV: Improv Under Hypnosis with Colin Mochrie & Asad Mecci – Live in Cleveland at Mimi Ohio Theatre

Get ready, Cleveland! On Friday, November 7, 2025, from 8:00 PM to 9:30 PM, the Mimi Ohio Theatre at 1511 Euclid Avenue, Cleveland, OH will host the mind-bending, laugh-out-loud phenomenon HYPROV — a unique fusion of hypnosis and improv that has taken the world by storm.

After touring over 100 cities, a 70-show Off-Broadway run in New York City, and a six-month Las Vegas residency, HYPROV is back to deliver what Time Out New York calls “hilarious and fascinating” and what The Wall Street Journal describes as “catnip for those who relish spontaneity and informality.” The New Yorker urges: “say yes to HYPROV”!

This 90-minute live comedy experience begins with world-renowned hypnotist Asad Mecci inviting 20 audience volunteers on stage to be hypnotized. The most receptive join Colin Mochrie (Whose Line Is It Anyway?) to improvise the rest of the show — all while hypnotized. The result is an unrepeatable, unscripted theatrical ride powered by audience suggestions and the performers’ uninhibited, unconscious minds.

Critics have called it “a celebration of the human imagination” (The Times of London) and “wild” (Forbes). Whether you’re in the audience or brave enough to volunteer, HYPROV guarantees an unforgettable night of laughter, surprises, and pure creativity.
