Disney's The Lion King returns to Cleveland for a limited engagement, featuring Peter Hargrave as Scar, David D'Lancy Wilson as Mufasa, Zama Magudulela as Rafiki, Gilbert Domally as Simba, and Thembelihle Cele as Nala, among others. Cleveland's own Robb Sapp, who has played Ed in the Broadway production since 2021, returns to Playhouse Square in that role. The production is directed by Julie Taymor, with music by Elton John, Tim Rice, Lebo M, Hans Zimmer, and Mark Mancina, and has been seen by over 130 million people across 32 global productions since its 1997 premiere.
