Chagrin Falls High School Brings “Anne of Green Gables” to Life CHAGRIN FALLS, OH (November 2025) — The Chagrin Falls High School Drama Department invites audiences to journey to Avonlea this fall with its heartwarming production of Anne of Green Gables, presented November 6–9 in the Chagrin Falls High School Black Box Theatre. Adapted by Joseph Robinette from the beloved novel by L.M. Montgomery, the play follows the imaginative and fiercely independent orphan Anne Shirley as she finds a home with Marilla and Matthew Cuthbert at Green Gables. Set against the backdrop of rural Prince Edward Island, the story captures Anne’s boundless curiosity, humor, and optimism as she learns the meaning of family, friendship, and belonging. “This story is about imagination, courage, and the strength it takes to be unapologetically yourself,” says director Dan Hendrock. “Anne reminds us that mistakes are not failures but stepping stones — that kindness, curiosity, and creativity can turn the ordinary into the extraordinary.” Cast and Production Team The cast features Marie Cain as Anne Shirley, Claire Hoelzel as Marilla Cuthbert, Milo Quintin as Matthew Cuthbert, and Westley Quintin as Gilbert Blythe.
