The PlayhouseSquare is set to welcome the bizarre and beloved The Addams Family national tour from April 10 through the 22. During its run at the Palace Theatre, the cast of the production will be offering a master dance class, teaching locals the moves and routine to the show's opening number. The class will be held at the Westfield Insurance Studio Theatre.

Participants must be advanced level high school or college students, or local professional artists. Ages 14 and up only, please. Others are welcome to observe. Participation is free, however, advance registration is required.

The Addams Family, which began performances in March 2010 at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre and ran through December 2011, immediately became one of Broadway’s biggest hits.

Tony Award nominee Douglas Sills and CCM Graduate Sara Gettelfinger star as Gomez and Morticia. The principal cast also includes Tony Award nominee and CCM Graduate Martin Vidnovic as Mal Beineke, two-time Tony Award nominee Crista Moore as Alice Beineke, Blake Hammond as Uncle Fester, Pippa Pearthree as Grandma, Tom Corbeil as Lurch, Patrick D. Kennedy as Pugsley, Brian Justin Crum as Lucas Beineke and Cortney Wolfson as Wednesday.

The Addams Family features a book by Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice, and music and lyrics by Andrew Lippa. The production is directed and designed (sets and costumes) by Phelim McDermott and Julian Crouch, with production supervision by Jerry Zaks and choreography by Sergio Trujillo. The production features lighting design by Natasha Katz, sound design by ACME Sound Partners and puppetry by Basil Twist.
