Payroll/HRIS Administrator



Roundabout Theatre Company, one of the nation’s largest not-for-profit theatres, seeks an energetic, personable individual to join the company’s Finance Department as Payroll/HRIS Administrator. The position reports to the Payroll Manager and works closely with the Director of Human Resources.



The Payroll/HRIS Administrator will have ongoing daily, weekly and monthly responsibility for:



Payroll:

• Process weekly and bi-weekly non-union payroll through ADP Workforce Now

• Prepare weekly artist fees schedule for payment

• Administer ADP’s electronic time & attendance system including new employee setup and training

• Import and review payable hours from time & attendance system

• Support Payroll Manager with other payroll processing tasks as needed

• Provide vacation cover and backup for Payroll Manager

Employee Data Maintenance:

• Setup new hires in ADP Workforce Now

• Maintain accuracy of employee information in payroll system including payroll deductions, salary/title changes and benefits status/eligibility changes

• Administer Paid Time Off accruals for non-union employees

• Perform terminations in payroll and time & attendance systems

• Create and run payroll reports from ADP Workforce Now as requested

Human Resources:

• Process responses to unemployment notices

• Coordinate workers compensation insurance compliance including incident log maintenance and claim initiation

• Support HR Department as needed



A Bachelor’s degree is preferred as well as 2-4 years of experience working in a finance office environment.



The ideal candidate will have experience working in the performing arts and will bring a fundamental understanding and experience with theatrical unions and non-union payroll and accounts payable, preferably for a not-for-profit organization. S/he will possess excellent analytical skills and be highly organized and self-motivated. Attention to detail and ability to take initiative is a must.

• Strong computer skills and knowledge of Excel and Word are required

• Experience working with HRIS and payroll systems required

• Knowledge of ADP Workforce Now preferred
