Jr. Information Systems Technician - Serino Coyne

Serino Coyne, a division of Omnicom Group Inc., a leading global communications company, is a dynamic mid-sized full-service Advertising and Marketing Agency, specializing in theatre and entertainment related accounts. We are seeking a detail-oriented, knowledgeable, technologically versed, flexible and diligent Jr. Information Systems Technician to support the agency with a variety of systems (MAC's, PC's, audio/video equipment & Canon Printer), to help meet our internal technical needs. This is a full-time, regular, benefits eligible position.



Job Requirements (includes but are not limited to the following):

- Advanced support skills in PC/Mac Desktops and laptops

- Minimum 3+ years relevant IT experience

- Ability to support a mixed environment of Windows, Mac servers and workstations

- Skilled at taking ownership of work assignments and successfully taking them through to completion on a timely basis

- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

- Must have a high-level grasp of technical concepts to converse with and produce documentation using technical terminology for tech contacts, along with ability to communicate these concepts in a non-technical user-friendly way for general staff/end users

- Must have the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced deadline driven environment

- Must have a strong work ethic

- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Information Systems, along with applicable certifications



Job Responsibilities (includes but are not limited to the following):

- Handle the creation, testing, maintenance, development and troubleshooting of all operating systems (OS) images as well as the creation testing and deployment of all application images/packages/upgrades.

- Maintain Active Directory

- Quarterly Sarbanes Oxley testing

- Desktop support is centralized and out of scope but you will need to oversee desktop support tickets for all users

- Maintain inventory database including the addition of all new machines, the removal of retired machines, and periodic verification of the contents of the database

- Work with the CFO on various technical projects



THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

- Has a natural affinity for Information Technology, network configurations, servers, desktop support, and expert knowledge in MAC & Windows environment

- Can actively listen and extract the vital information from user complaints

- Can develop and maintain IT policies and procedures

- Is proactive, solutions based, communicative, and follows-up with end users

- Can document processes, patient when dealing with and explaining issues/solutions with end-users

- Is a self-starter, an effective problem solver with strong organizational skills
