House Managers and Box Office Managers - New York Musical Festival

Description:The New York Musical Festival nurtures the creation, production, and public presentation of stylistically, thematically, and culturally diverse new musicals to ensure the future vitality of musical theater. NYMF is the largest annual musical theater festival in America. Each summer the Festival presents productions, concerts, readings and events in the heart of New York City's Theater District. NYMF seeks House Managers and Box Office Managers for the 2019 Festival. The Festival runs July 8th through August 4th in four venues in midtown. Front of House training will be on July 5th.As this is a festival environment, there are multiple performances throughout the day every day of the week in each venue, and therefore this is not a typical Front of House schedule.Full time is preferred, but part-time positions may be available. Responsibilities may include: Selling walk-up tickets, concessions, and merchandiseLiaising with venue staff Coordinating reserved seatingManaging waitlists Completing wrap sheets and reportsRequirements: The successful candidate should have 1+ year of box office management, house management or related administrative experience and willingness to learn. FOH staff must be outgoing, personable and committed to providing top-notch customer service. Experience with OvationTix is preferred.
