The EducationDirector is responsible for OAT?s educational development and outreach, as well as year-roundcurriculum building and planning. The Education Director will collaborate with the OAT ArtisticDirector and OAT Board in creating a youth-oriented performance season, andestablishing performance opportunities for students involved in the theatre educationprogram. The Education Director will initiate educational programming, such asinstructional classes, workshops, etc., as well as performance-based after-school programs.Other Duties/Responsibilities of the Education Director include but are not limited to:? Administrative work in the Education Department? Overseeing the OAT Scholarship Program ? Helping to provide financial opportunity tostudents involved in our programming.? Fundraising for OAT?s Education Department? Overseeing program budgets? Outreach, hiring, contracting and supervising teaching artists, directors, and interns.? Being an active member of the OAT community - support the organization?s otherprogramming.? Overseeing OAT's Summer Theatre Academy, Missoula Children's Theatre, Adult Actingclasses, and all other educational offerings provided by OAT to the community.? Coordinating with the Artistic Director to oversee OAT's community theatre company,The Cedar Street Players.? Liaising with local schools, universities, and performing arts groups to provideindividual musical, vocal, and performance lessons with members of the community.? Leveraging relationships with community programs, local public schools and universitydrama departments to facilitate the use of the Cedar Street Playhouse and partner oneducational offerings.The ideal candidate for the Education Director is someone dedicated to enrichingand educating the next generation of theatre artists in small-town Missouri.
