PHILADANCO is Philadelphia's premier modern dance company.
The dance company was created in 1970 to address the lack of opportunities for minority dancers in the Delaware Valley. In the 41 years since then, PHILADANCO has advanced from a community-based company to an internationally-renowned institution.
On the heels of their 40th Anniversary, PHILADANCO looks down memory lane, while also performing a new work, 'Wake Up', by prominent hip hop choreographer Rennie Harris.
Fans, both old and new, are invited to join the dancers on a tour through those groundbreaking 40 years that shaped them into the spectacular and electrifying company they are today.
