Academy and Tony Award-winning playwright Tom Stoppard’s most-beloved stage work, Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead is a comical absurdist delight, acclaimed as a modern masterpiece. Rosencrantz and Guildenstern, two minor characters from Shakespeare’s Hamlet, become the stars in this inventive tale. The two are tasked with a strange mission: discovering their friend Hamlet’s vengeful intentions. Then charged with escorting the future Danish king to England they become caught in a strange scheme far beyond their own making. Comic moments unfold into surreal antics as they come to face the very nature of reality.
