Black Trans Women at the Center is a virtual play festival showcasing the work of Black trans women playwrights. Co-produced by Long Wharf Theatre, The Theater Offensive, and Breaking the Binary Theatre, the festival aims to amplify the voices and artistry of these creators. The event will stream from November 18 to November 20, featuring a curated selection of new plays designed to highlight the experiences and perspectives of Black trans women in the theater. The festival is part of Long Wharf Theatre’s 60th Anniversary Season and involves thoughtful collaborations with several theater companies, including About Face Theatre.
