Monday Nights New Voices: Chicago returns on August 11th to The Chicago Center for Performing Arts with an evening honoring Broadway composer, Andrew Lippa.

Come and support alumni of the series: Ginny Brazier, Cat Davis, Jamie Finkenthal, Julia Gordon, Angela Ingersoll, and Andrew Keltz and new talent Vanjah Boikai, Missy Karle, and Andy Planck as they join Music Director Alison Kane to perform an array of old and new music from the Lippa songbook. There will also be a special performance provided by the composer himself!

This exciting series produced by David Tomczak and Allen Sledge, in association with composer Scott Alan, has been embraced by the Chicago theatre community and will continue in its tradition of bringing together rising talent. The 'New Voice' series strives to offer artistic opportunity to talent on both a local and a national level and provides a chance for its audience to be included in the artistic development process of theatre.

Andrew Lippa was last seen in Chicago this past May conducting Tony winner Kristin Chenoweth in concert with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. His work has been represented on Broadway in the Tony winning You're A Good Man Charlie Brown and internationally with his widely popular musical, The Wild Party, making him one of the most prominent and critically praised contemporary musical theatre composers.

The Chicago Center for Performing Arts is located at 777 North Green Street and is easily accessible by public transit. Admission is $15 and reservations are highly recommended and are made by calling (312) 733-6000. For further inquiry please email mnnvchicago@yahoo.com
