LiveWire Chicago Theatre gets visual with this year's VisionFest 4: Where the Image Meets the Stage, an annual festival of 11 short plays inspired by two original artworks, Thursdays – Saturdays, June 14-30, 2012. Set in the Envision Gallery at Flourish Studios, 3020 N. Lincoln Ave., each play will be staged in a different area of the multi-level gallery. VisionFest 4 presents a diverse lineup of 11 new plays by widely celebrated playwrights, including Philip Dawkins, Victory Gardens Ensemble Playwright; The Inconvenience's Ike Holter, playwright of the critically acclaimed Hit The Wall; Bilal Dardai of the Neo-Futurists; Bekah Brunstetter, playwright of LiveWire's recent production of Oohrah! presented at the Steppenwolf Garage Rep 2012; Mat Smart, playwright of LiveWire's The 13th of Paris and Steppenwolf's Samuel J. & K.; and more. Enclosed is the full play lineup.

VisionFest 4 will run in two programs (five plays plus a devised piece by LiveWire Associate Artistic Director and VisionFest curator Chris Zdenek). Each program will play on alternate Thursdays and Fridays at 8 p.m. On Saturdays a marathon of both programs (all 10 plays, plus the devised piece) will start at 7 p.m. Marathon and single program tickets for Saturday will be available.
