Light Opera Works Now Accepting Applications for Summer Teen Production of SOUTH PACIFIC

Light Opera Works is currently taking applications for the summer teen production of SOUTH PACIFIC. Rehearsals are July 29 through August 14, at the Light Opera Works rehearsal center, 516 4th Street in Wilmette. Technical rehearsals on August 15 and 16, and the free public performance on Monday, August 17, at 7:30 pm, are at Cahn Auditorium, 600 Emerson in Evanston.

Each role will be individually cast based on auditions. Teens 13 to 18 will present the Broadway classic with professional costumes, sound and lighting on the same set as the Light Opera Works adult production of SOUTH PACIFIC.

Cost is $1250 per student. A $50 audition fee is due with registration, which will be refunded if the child is cast. If child is not cast, the $50 will be refunded. If child is cast and does not accept the role, the audition fee will not be refunded.

Director/choreographer is Caryn Ott Hillman, musical director is Christopher Richard and stage manager is Anya Plotkin, all veterans of the Light Opera Works Summer Musical Theater Workshop.
