Cirque du Soleil returns to Chicago with OVO 6/30
Presented by iShares, Cirque du Soleil returns to Chicago this summer with OVO, this live touring production premiering Thursday, June 30 for a limited engagement under the Blue-and-Yellow Grand Chapiteau (Big Top) at United Center (Parking Lot K). After Quidam, Dralion, Varekai, Corteo and KOOZA, OVO will be the sixth Big Top touring show to perform on the grounds at United Center. Since its world-premiere in Montreal in April 2009, 1.5 million spectators have already been charmed by this colorful and fascinating production.
Specially-priced tickets for OVO are now available to Cirque Club members for an exclusive period at cirqueclub.com . Membership is free and registration is quick and simple. Cirque Club members receive advance access to the best seats under the Grand Chapiteau, ticket upgrades, partner promotions and insider information on the world of Cirque du Soleil. Tickets will be available to the general public as of Sunday, April 3, 2011.
The name OVO means "egg" in Portuguese. Directed by Deborah Colker, the first female director at Cirque du Soleil, OVO is a headlong rush into a colorful ecosystem teeming with life, where insects work, eat, crawl, flutter, play, fight and look for love in a non-stop riot of energy and movement.
Cirque du Soleil gratefully acknowledges iShares, Presenting Sponsor of the OVO 2011 US Tour as well as Infiniti, CGI, XEROX, Wyndham Hotels and Resorts, Sun Life Financial and American Express as the official sponsors.
