The American Music Institute (AMI)'s is now accepting applications for the 2026-2027 Merit Scholarships and Need-Based Financial Aid through May 31st.

Merit Scholarships: Recognizing Exceptional Talent
AMI's Merit Scholarship program is designed for students who demonstrate "exceptional talent and potential" on any instrument. These prestigious awards are available for private lessons, chamber music, and various AMI programs.

Eligibility: Students aged 5-18.

Requirements: Recipients must perform in AMI student recitals, participate in AYCO Chamber Music Programs, and attend the Chicago Summer Music Camp.

Submission: All applicants must submit a Merit Audition Video via Google Drive to AMI@amimusic.org by the May 31st deadline.

Renewal: Scholarships are awarded annually. Current scholars must re-apply and re-audition each year to demonstrate continued improvement and commitment.
