Following its hit world premiere of Le Switch, About Face Theatre is pleased to continue its 20th Anniversary Season with the Chicago premiere of A. Rey Pamatmat's compelling drama after all the terrible things I do, directed by Artistic Director Andrew Volkoff, playing March 11 - April 10, 2016 at Theater Wit, 1229 W. Belmont Ave. in Chicago. Tickets are currently available at www.aboutfacetheatre.org, by calling (773) 975-8150 or in person at the Theater Wit Box Office. The press opening is Thursday, March 17 at 7:30 pm.

The cast of after all the terrible things I do includes Colin Sphar and Lisa Tejero.

This intimate and gripping new play from one of American theatre's rising stars explores the dark side of ordinary people, second chances and the price of forgiveness. Returning to his Midwestern hometown after college, Daniel, a young gay writer, takes a job at the local bookstore he knew as a child. After he and Linda, the Filipina bookstore owner, begin working together, they discover they share a connection that goes much deeper than a love of literature.

"A. Rey Pamatmat is one of the most exciting and dynamic voices in the American theatre today," comments Artistic Director Andrew Volkoff. "This piece is deceptively complex, highly engaging yet with deep resonance, asking the audience to question what they see on stage and in their own lives. I'm excited to work with Rey, bringing his unique voice to Chicago and beginning a great relationship between this talented playwright and About Face," adds Volkoff.

The production team to date includes Chelsea Warren (scenic design), Bob Kuhn (costume design), and Jared Gooding (lighting design), Christopher Kriz (sound design), Jenny Pinson (props design) and Dana Nestrick (stage manager).
