Join Porchlight Music Theatre for A PLACE FOR US: Chicago Sings Bernstein, a very special one-night-only benefit performance supporting Porchlight's upcoming 15th anniversary season. Chicago Sings Bernstein will be presented Monday, June 15 at 7:30 p.m. at The Greenhouse Theatre, 2257 N. Lincoln. Award-winning PMT Artistic Associates Rob Lindley and Doug Peck have created A PLACE FOR US: Chicago Sings Bernstein featuring some of the brightest names in Chicago theatre and cabaret, singing the songs of legendary composer Leonard Bernstein. It's a spectacular one-of-a-kind night of music not-to-be-missed.

The talented duo of Lindley and Peck have previously organized such critically-acclaimed annual Porchlight reviews as Unusual Way-A Maury Yeston Review (2008), After Sondheim (2006), and aFINNity: Chicago Sings William Finn (2005). Lindley is a member of the popular cabaret trio Foiled Again for which he has earned an After Dark for Outstanding Cabaret Performance. He was also nominated for a best supporting actor Jeff Award for Court Theater's Carousel which also played at New Haven's Long Wharf Theater. Lindley has appeared in many Porchlight shows and served as director for the 2007 A Wonderful Life. Peck has merited After Darks for his work on Guys & Dolls and Hello Again. He has earned Jeff Awards for Man of La Mancha, Fiorello!, and Carousel with nominations for Hello Again, Dessa Rose, All Night Strut, and Shenandoah. Highly respected in Chicago's theater community, Lindley and Peck have cherry-picked a spectacularly talented roster for A PLACE FOR US: Chicago Sings Bernstein:

Porchlight Music Theatre is Chicago's music theater leader; producing award-winning interpretations of classic musicals and cutting-edge new works on intimate stages. The company has staged 37 shows including four world premieres, among them, The Teapot Scandals, its first work developed through Off the Porch, Porchlight's new works program, as well as seven Chicago premieres. Porchlight earned the most Jeff awards of any Chicago music theater and the most After Dark Awards of any Chicago theater in 2007. An Equity theater since 2004, the company has already received a total of 29 Joseph Jefferson Award nominations resulting in 11 Jeff Awards.
