Bizet's Carmen at High Point Theatre

Carmen is 150 years and still smoking! Georges Bizet’s Carmen is set in Seville, Spain, and tells the story of a captivating and fiercely independent woman whose desire for freedom collides with a soldier’s dangerous obsession. Featuring instantly recognizable melodies like the Habanera and Toreador Song, Bizet’s opera is as musically dazzling as it is dramatically intense. This passionate new staging is a first for High Point Theatre and features a custom production design in collaboration with Knoxville Opera.
