Shakespeare On The Sound will celebrate their summer production of OTHELLO with a Gala Evening April 24. The evening will include cocktails, an auction, dinner and dancing beginning at 6:30pm.

Highlights of the Gala auction include VIP tickets for four to a live taping of 'The Daily Show with Job Stewart', A private tour of CBS Evening New with Katie Couric, and an original song written for you by Tony Award winning composer Stew. Shakespeare on the Sound produces an annual free outdoor Shakespeare festival in Connecticut, with performances in public parks in Rowayton and Greenwich. By offering an annual theater festival for free and delivering year-round education programs in the schools and local libraries, Shakespeare On The Sound opens up Shakespeare's great theater classics for a broad audience, reaching a diverse cross-section of people of all ages and economic backgrounds, and creating a forum for learning, appreciation and celebration.

OTHELLO will be performed in Rowayton at Pinkney Park, June 15 through 26 and Greenwich at ROger Sherman Baldwin Park, July 2 through 11. All performances will begin at 7:30pm and there will be no shows on Mondays. The parks open for blankets at 4pm, space is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
