CPCC Summer Theatre, Charlotte's only professional summer stock theatre, will perform the classic thriller "Deathtrap" on the College's Pease Auditorium stage this July.

"Deathtrap" is a play unlike any other, filled with multiple plot twists, action sequences, surprising laughs and clever dialogue. Audiences will delight in watching famed Broadway playwright Sidney Bruhl put murder into his plan to take credit for a student's script.
Clifford Anderson, a pupil in one of Sidney's writing seminars, has recently sent Sidney a copy of his play - "Deathtrap" - to review. The production is a five-character, two-act thriller that is perfect in its construction. Using his penchant for plot, and out of his desperate desire to once again be the toast of Broadway, Sidney, along with his wife Myra, cook up an almost unthinkable scheme: they'll lure the would-be playwright to the Bruhl home, kill him and market the sure-fire script as Sidney's own. But shortly after Clifford arrives, it's clear that things are not what they seem! Indeed, even Helga Ten Dorp, a nosey psychic from next door, and Porter Milgram, Sidney's observant attorney, can only speculate where the line between truth and deception lies.
This production will star Jerry Colbert as Sidney Bruhl, Christian Casper as Clifford Anderson and Amy Laughter as Myra Bruhl. Don't miss this opportunity to support local theatre. Reserve your seat today!
