CPCC Summer Theatre Announce NOISES OFF for 6/29-7/7

This summer, CPCC Summer Theatre continues its 39th season with the comedy "Noises Off," June 29 – July 7 on the Halton Theater stage.

"Noises Off" is a play within a play. It is about an ambitious director and his troupe of mediocre actors who are putting together a silly comedy titled, "Nothing On" - a single-set farce in which lovers frolic, doors slam, clothes are tossed away and embarrassing high jinx ensue. The three acts of "Noises Off" expose different phases of the disastrous show, "Nothing On:"

· Act One: On stage during dress rehearsal.
· Act Two: Backstage during a matinee performance.
· Act Three: On stage during a delightfully ruined performance

For audience members who have never experienced theatre as an actor or a crew member, "Noises Off" will be an entertaining show with a lot of laughs. However, for attendees who have worked in theatre, either on stage or behind the scenes, Michael Frayn's "Noises Off" might very well be the funniest play ever written.

Performances are on June 29, 30, July 6, 7 at 8 p.m.; July 1 at 2:30 p.m.; July 3 at 7 p.m.; and July 5 at 7:30 p.m. at the Dale F. Halton Theater, CPCC Central Campus, 1206 Elizabeth Ave., Charlotte.
