Penn State presents the premiere of True Crime Frankenstein or the Modern, Modern Prometheus, a musical inspired by the classic Frankenstein tale. With a book by Matt Cox and music and lyrics by Eli Bolin, the story follows Mary Sheldon, a high school loner who investigates the mysterious murder of pop sensation William Frankenstein through her podcast. Directed by John Simpkins, the production features a talented cast including Asim Baraka, Kyler Beck, and Maddie Palmer, adding a contemporary twist to themes of ambition and the darker side of human nature. The show runs from June 12 to June 15 at the Penn State Downtown Theatre.
