A weekend getaway in the woods sounds nice unless you end up with unexpected company. That's what happens to a pair of couples in Weekend Comedy, the final show in the 2015-16 Hanover Little Theatre season. Performances will be at 8 p.m. July 8-9 and 14-16 and 2 p.m. on July 10 and 17.

Tickets are on sale now. Online ticket sales are available around the clock. You can also call 637-5297 to reserve tickets.

Two couples - one middle aged and the other in their 20s - reserve the same one-bedroom, one-bathroom cottage for the same weekend. The two couples decide to share the cottage, but the generation gap leads to friction. In the end, the cramped quarters teach each couple some lessons about their relationships.

Familiar faces punctuate the cast for Weekend Comedy with Duane Bull and Heidi Hormel playing Frank and Peggy. Adam Bish and Sarah Zimmermann will play Tony and Jill, the younger couple. Sally Chase directs.

Weekend Comedy marks the seventh show where the theatre will raise funds for a local nonprofit community partner. The partner for this show will be Friends of Codorus State Park (FOCSP), which is dedicated to restoring, preserving and improving the Codorus State Park and its surroundings.

The theatre will donate $2 for every ticket sold to the Saturday, July 9 show to FOCSP. An anonymous patron will match that donation, generating $4 for every person attending that performance. Additionally, donations for FOCSP will be accepted at all seven performances.

Since inaugurating this program in November 2014, Hanover Little Theatre has donated $2,900 to a variety of local organizations.
